I bought mine from a store in Canada and have been using it for the past 4 days. I let it dry completely between uses because I don’t want it to develop mold. The sponge is already disintegrating. It’s a $8 sponge in Canada so I was hoping it would last for more than 4 uses.

I bought this when the Tik Tok video went viral. And then, I lost it…or someone “borrowed” it and I was beside myself because I didn’t have my damp duster. So, I got back online and tried to order another one and they were out of stock. I was lost! They finally came back in stock and I have ordered 8 of them. i loved this, but the first one i ordered got moldy in a week. it arrived damp and sealed, so i stored it damp and sealed. i guess it has to dry out? i ordered three more dusters (upstairs, downstairs and a give-away one to my mom) and will try to let them dry out?

I was excited to use this product because I have heard wonderful things about it, but when I opened the bag up and took the sponge out it was moldy. It left my fingers smelling like a dish sponge that has been sitting wet and nasty for way too long. So I threw it out. I didn’t order it directly from the company (got it from that big blue super store) so I guess next time I’ll order from here and see if it’s better.

This duster is amazing! It gets into every groove, nook and cranny and lifts every bit of dust. It also saves me time. I used to use a wet rag and once the rag was full of dust, it took some time to wash the dust off it before I could continue. With this, the dust washes away completely with a quick rinse. So glad I bought two because I never want to be without this!

I bought this duster and it works great. It picks up the dust and does not filter it back into the air like my swifter does. It cleans the surface and dust does not seem to settle back down in the same place as it holds on to the dust until I wash it out. It does not replace my swifter as I need a handle for some places but it is my preferred tool. If they can add something with a handle then this would be my single dusting item. LOVE IT and bought backups.

My thought is if the product is made from wheat starch and become moldy itself, will the moisture imparted from using it cause mold growth on some porous surfaces ? Also , is the wheat treated with an insecticide ? Thanks !

People complain about continuously rinsing it off & that is inconvenient but if you put it into full perspective you only buy one which lasts MONTHS rather than a swiffer that u need to buy lots of heads for. I live down a gravel road with a dirt driveway. The dust is never ending. I have a dog and can manage his hair pretty well. Two grand pups came to stay with nana. My furniture is cloth and I didn’t think I would ever get rid of the dog hair. I am dusting with the damp duster and said, why not. OMG! Nothing has ever picked up dog hair like that! I really like the feel of this duster and the ease with which it picks up dust, but I worry about it leaving moisture on my wooden surfaces, not all of which are varnished. I’ll give it 5 stars, but I would like some reassurance from Scrub Daddy or fellow “Scrubbers” that this is not a concern. Thank you!

This sponge only smears the dust across the blinds. The only way it might work at all is if you thoroughly vacuum the blinds before using…which makes it worthless in my view. Works ok on baseboards but I bought it to clean blinds and it definitely doesn’t work on those. Sorry that I wasted the money!

This will probably be a little long but I have nothing but great things to say about every product I have ever used from the Scrub Daddy brand.
Let me start by saying that the Scrub Daddy Damp Duster is an absolute game-changer in my cleaning routine. I clean a lot and often times all of my family contacts me to help with cleaning their houses too. I can’t help but recommend this product as a must-have. I genuinely love this product.
The design for the Damp Duster is simple and it fits inside my cleaning bag perfectly without taking up much room. I love that it becomes a soft and flexible tool after just wetting it with water. This design makes it super easy to fit in hard places and grab things on all shapes of surfaces. The material is perfect for what the Damp Duster is used to accomplish. When I clean with my microfiber cloths and multi-surface spray, they often leave behind little fuzzy things or clumps of dust. I will follow up by running the Damp Duster over all of the surfaces I clean and it effortlessly picks up anything that has been left behind. I can confidently say that it is the missing piece in achieving a flawless clean.
Not only does the Damp Duster excel in performance, but it also achieves an exceptional title in durability. I have used this product hundreds of times in the year that I have owned it and despite the repeated use, it maintains its shape and effectiveness.
So, my final verdict on this wonderful product is, if you’re searching for a cleaning tool that will effortlessly tackle picking up all the left behind specks, then you should look no further. It has rightfully earned its place in my cleaning arsenal.

Love it you bought 4 -used one on the spot and love it however the other 3 I stored in my pantry unopened and they have mold on them-how do I store them if I haven’t used them? So sad.. the other I use and keep in my cleaning cloths -it dried no problem but the unopened ones are ruined..

Got this. It has no instructions on it on how to store it. Used it once on a bookshelf. Rinsed it. Left it on a plastic tray to dry. Picked it up today and it had purple mold all on the underside. Not really sure what to do. It also doesn’t work on textured surfaces eg wood with grooves. Only on smooth surfaces.

It’s nice for baseboards that have aren’t flat! I do think a microfiber towel also does the job but this is fun to use and I enjoy it. I’m not sure for the price I would buy it again, however I hope it does last a while because my kiddo likes using it.

Damp Duster is the greatest invention since sliced bread! I live in a very dusty area, have tongue and groove interior walls and a long-haired cat. My house has never been so dust and cat hair free. I was a bit nervous on how easy this would be to clean. I was pleasantly surprised that with a quick rinse the dust was gone. Only down side to this product, if it gets soaked all the way through, it takes a little bit longer to dry out.

I had high hopes of these to clean the blinds and baseboards. They get dirty fast and left a almost muddy residue on the blinds I ended up using a microfiber cloth to finish the job. I found that it worked better on baseboards but had to rinse often and it was time consuming.

I’m sure this is a great product, at least that’s what the clean community on instagram says. But I will never know because I finally went to use it and it is MOLDY!!! Why would you sell a product like this already damp to your customer not knowing when they will open it and use it?!? So at first glance they didn’t look that much and I started trying it and wow what an amazing difference not only does it help really good with clean stuff off what’s great about this specific product adds that it also gets all the hairs and you just rinse it and it all goes away there’s no hassle of it around the toilet or anything like that other stuff around the house absolutely love it especially with a dog who’s kind of hairy I give him baths but it doesn’t stop the fur in my bathroom highly recommend it love love this give it a five-star rating on it get them when you can people

I love this product so much I buy extras and give them as presents. Throw all your other dusters away cause this thing does an amazing job. it’s so easy to use my son even loves it. Told him to dust one room and ended up doing the whole house cause he said it was easy. The best part is you don’t need any other sprays or stuff just this damp duster.

I love the damp duster. It’s everything I thought it would be but I really think maybe it should not come pre-moist. The ones I received had a bad smell when I opened the bags and also noticed black spots in the dips. I believe they were growing mold.

My daughter and I both have allergies so dusting often is imperative. I’m not a fan of furniture polishes for dusting. This damp duster does a great job of gathering all the dust and rinses perfectly clean. Im not sure what I was more impressed with, the ability to gather up all the dust or how easy it is to clean. Either way I love it and will be purchasing more.

I love this little sponge! Dusting is my most hated chore, but this works like a dream. I love that I can wash it off and reuse it as opposed to rag that I’d have to throw in the laundry. It traps the dust and grime really well and easily rinses off. I hope they keep selling these because if this ever wears out and they stop making it, I’ll be super bummed out!

I wasn’t sure if it would work as well as it claimed, but it does! If the sponge is a bit dry or hard after leaving it (mine was upon opening) just run it under some water to soften it up, and then squeeze out the excess! I plan to purchase these for Christmas gifts this year because I love them so much!
